Kingdom Tree Company is family-owned and locally operated out of North Canton, in Stark County. We have been at it since 2023, and most of our calls still come from people who heard about us from a neighbor or saw the truck in somebody's driveway. We take down trees, grind stumps, trim what can stay, sell firewood, and haul off what is left when a storm comes through.
Who You Are Dealing With
Joel Thompson owns the company and runs the crews. When you call for an estimate, you are talking to the people who will actually be on your property, not a call center that farms the job out to whoever is available. That matters more than it sounds like it should, because the person who walked your yard and named the price is the person accountable for what happens when the saw starts.
How We Work
Every job starts with a walkthrough. We look at the tree, the fall zone, the access route, and what sits nearby that needs to stay intact. Then you get a written price before anything is scheduled. Pretty cut and dry. If there is a variable cost in the job, like stone on a delivery, we name it up front instead of burying it in a total and surprising you at the end.
Yard damage is the number one complaint people have about tree companies, and it is the thing we plan hardest around. The fall zone and the access route get mapped before the first cut. Most of the time, not all the time, but we plan for it. Full cleanup is part of every job, so when the crew pulls out, the wood is gone and the brush is chipped.
The Warranty
We carry a lifetime warranty on workmanship. If the mistake is ours, we come back and fix it. No charge, no argument. That is not a marketing line, it is just how the company operates, and putting it in writing only makes official what we would do anyway.
Licensed and Insured
Kingdom Tree is licensed and insured in Ohio, and proof of insurance is available on request. Ask for it. Ask every tree contractor for it. A crew working forty feet up with a chainsaw over your roof is not the place to find out somebody skipped coverage, and any contractor who gets uncomfortable when you ask is telling you something.
Where We Work
We serve homeowners across five Northeast Ohio counties: Stark, Summit, Medina, Wayne, and Portage. That covers North Canton, Canton, Massillon, Alliance, Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Wooster, Kent, Medina, and the communities around them. Weekend and after-hours storm response is available, because storms do not keep business hours and a tree on a roof does not wait until Monday.
